Weekly Recs | February 23, 2025
A few things I enjoyed recently and maybe you will too.
Happy Sunday guys! I hope you had a nice week. I’m going to be candid - I’m deep into seasonal depression. If you read my post yesterday, you know I’ve been crying, like a lot lately. So yesterday, I initiated crisis mode and leaned hard into all my coping mechinisms, New Years resolutions and whatnot be damned. I spent money, ate garbage, and didn’t hit my step goal. I’m not saying it worked a miracle or anything, but it felt nice to just let myself relax for a second.
+Highs: I was looking through some photos on my phone and it triggered some memories of this time last year. And this time the year before and the year before, and you know it’s sort of comforting to remember that I am always dismal around February. That sounds weird, but like, it’s temporary right? I’m basically solar powered and as soon as the sun comes out, I’ll perk right back up. Now I just have to wait.
+Lows: Besides all the crying and literally feeling like every day is a bad day? Lol, sigh. I’ve developed an eye twitch that will not go away! I’ve tried magnesium and bananas and a daily vitamin. I think I have to actually call my doctor, make an appointment, and have it looked at. It’s been twitching for a good four months now and I keep waiting patiently for it to go away. Alas!
Final high! When I write this post next week, it’ll be March baby, and she has been known to be Winter’s sister, but she also comes with at least a couple warmer, sunnier days. The worst is basically behind us!

Old Navy Active Wear // there was a big sale over at Old Navy this week on active wear tops and I’m here to remind you that they’ve really stepped their game up. Good prices on really nice stuff IMO!
Better Homes & Gardens Candle // Impulse buy, but no regrets! At $11, I’m impressed at the even burn and the way the scent fills the room. I got firewood and spice, and it’s peak cozy vibes.
Abercrombie & Fitch Salty Crewneck // I’ve been in the mood to wear my heart on my sleeve. Also my attitude.
Target Taper Candle Holders // Another bargain find. We’re talking $6 baby, and aren’t they the most fun pop of color? Spriiiing! Anytime now!
Stanley Tucci Dad Hat // I’ve read both his books now and I’m obsessed.
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles // This was on last week’s list, but I finally finished it this week and it was a treat! I know it’s early, but I’m confidently projecting this to be a top five book of my reading list this year.
Born to Dilly Dally T-Shirt // See what I mean? I can’t stop announcing my feelings in apparel format.
The Instant Mani // I had a frantic nail biting episode last weekend that I’m properly ashamed of. I’ve worn these press-ons a couple times and standby their 10+ day wear. Just long enough to let my natural nails grow in a bit.
