Weekly Recs | Week of July 1-21

A few things I enjoyed recently and maybe you will too.

Hey friends! It’s my birthday month and every year, I think I’m just going to let it float by. Not a big deal this year! I think, every year since I turned 25. But that’s really so not me - I make a big deal out of everything so it’s been a real “treat thyself” month over here. Here’s what I’ve been enjoying lately -

aerie Beyond Quarter Zip Sweater | I’m generally hook, line and sinkered by anything with stripes, and this bright cheerful green pattern just feels like summer.

Dior Forever Glow | As usual, I was influenced by the sisters to try this. A boujee option that just lights up the face, but I think SunBum Glow 30 does the same thing for $15.

Glossier Balm Dot Com // Strawberry | I’m a loyalist and I have loved the balm dot com series for a good long time. I have a few, and strawberry is a slam dunk color/flavor in my opinion.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Blush | A birthday treat, for sure. Just something new I’d like to try!

The Vacationers by Emma Straub | I’ve read this book a few times and it’s just a great summertime read. It feels like the dog days and features a cast of largely unlikeable characters. There are two outsiders and they’re the only decent people in this fun novel about a family and some friends who vacation together in Mallorca.

aerie Oversized Fleece Crew // USA | It’s almost Olympic time baby, and I’ll be rooting for the home team, of course.

Shameless Snacks | Peach is the best flavor. If you’re watching your sugar and don’t mind swapping one evil (sugar) for another (chemicals) these are quite the treat.

Projector | In the summertime, we love to watch movies outside and this project does the trick for a reasonable cost. I bought it probably 3 years ago and it’s still going strong.
