Weekly Recs | Week of April 15-21
Everything I enjoyed and recommended this week -

- Maid by Stephanie Land | Stephanie is a 28-year old single mother trying to dig herself out of poverty. This memoir follows her work as a maid as she also attends school, raises her young daughter, and dreams of becoming a writer.
- Old Navy Dynamic Fleece Half Zip | I live for athleisure that is not only comfortable, but also structured. It makes even the most slob-kabob outfit look put together. This red pullover is the perfect example of that and if you’re particularly organized, get the matching shorts. There’s nothing nicer than a set.
- Old Navy Fit & Flare Rib-Knit Maxi Dress | I’m obsessed with this dress. I think it’s just such an obvious staple. I’m imagining it dressed down with a denim jacket and the tan leather J Crew flip flops for a perfect dinner date outfit.
- Target Universal Threads Long Sleeve Cinch-Waist Maxi Shirt Dress | Work appropriate wear that is stealth pajama-level comfortable is my true kink. I love looking put together and being so comfy that it feels like I’m getting away with something. A good pair of shoes and maybe some gold jewelry and no further action necessary. The outfit is done.
- The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory | Low key smut, but not totally filthy. This bodice ripper is a fictional account - heavy on the fiction - of Mary Boleyn and her more famous sister, Anne, being total sisters who compete over everything. In this case, the affections of a king.
- Olive and June The Instant Mani in CCT Gradient | I did a more comprehensive review of the Olive and June press on systems that I’ll link here. The tl;dr is that I love these press ons and I’m really into the look of this gradient.
- Lash Princess False Lashes Effect Mascara | I can’t quit talking about this stuff. I’ve spent so much money on high end mascara and been disappointed or underwhelmed for the most part. I can’t believe how beautifully the Lash Princess mascara applies and how long it lasts, for under $5.
- J Crew Easy Summer Flip Flops | My go-to summer shoes, I have them in tan leather, black and I just acquired a gold pair. If you see me in other shoes anytime between May and October…well it probably wasn’t me. Classic, sturdy, and they go with everything.
