Micro Trend | Pink Stripes
I’ve been hooked on stripes since Gwen Stefani and Akon went what I call Jail Bird Chic in the Sweet Escape music video. What a vibe, you know? My life went more in the 9-5 in a Cubicle Chic direction, but I took the stripes with me and I’m loving the pink stripe micro trend going into summer 2024. No longer reserved for Valentines Day or Victoria Secret, pink stripes is just Chic Chic and I am here for it.
Long Sleeve Tie-Front Mini Shirt Dress // Target - A banger budget find. It’s a little on the short side, so if you’re tall, I’d size up to wear it in the office, but you can’t beat the price point on this beauty.
Long Sleeve Button Up Shirt Dress // J Crew - More of an investment piece that’ll last you a good long time, and at a length that requires no toggling to make it office appropriate.
Pink Sunnies // J Crew - While you’re on the J Crew website, snatch up these barbie-inspired sunnies for a micro-trend quick hit. And hey, if you’re not a pink girlie, they have tons of colors to choose from.
Stacking Bracelets // Bauble Bar - endless possibilities with the wild array of stackers over at Baublebar.
Beach Shirt Dress // Factory J Crew - technically a swimsuit cover, but doesn't read too sheer, so follow you heart with this number.
Glossier You Rollerball // Sephora - Look, it’s hard to take scent recommendations over the internet, but I’ll just say everyone who tries it loves it. I’m not sure I buy the whole “smells different on everyone” bit, but if we all smell like this, its really okay. It’s that good.
Boden Striped Canvas Tote - Does it give early 2000’s Victoria Secrets vibes? Yes, but that’s PTSD specific to the mid-30s millennial who literally wore PINK hoodies everyday of high school. I have been wooed by Boden’s striped bags twice in two months, scooping this one up to schlep all my sunscreen and towels to the beach this summer.
Glossier Balm Dot Com // Sephora - A workhorse of a product if I ever had one. I use this on my lips obviously, but also my cuticles and I am top-freaking-tier excited to try the new strawberry flavor.
